We have been rated as Good in all areas of inspection.
Most of you will be aware we were rated ‘Good’ in 2009, but with the continual raising of standards in educational performance and expectations, the bar is considerably higher and it is much more difficult to achieve a ‘Good’ today compared with previous inspections.
This result is a credit to all and is a team effort. We have picked out a few comments from the inspector to highlight this:
“The headteacher is ably supported by an experienced and highly committed staff who have risen to the challenge of ensuring all pupils are effectively supported to make good progress in all aspects of learning”.
“Governors know the school well. They work closely with the headteacher to check carefully on how well the school is doing and what needs to be done to continue the improvement.”
We are also delighted that the inspector spent time observing and talking to pupils. He was able to see how wonderful they truly are:
“The behaviour of pupils is good. Pupils are courteous to visitors and pupils of all ages mix well together when learning and at playtimes. They show respect to one another, their teachers and other adults in the school. Pupils that spoke with the inspector say they enjoy school and feel ‘included and special’. Older pupils willingly take responsibility for looking after younger children that helps to promote an inclusive and caring school environment.”
Please take time to read the report and to join us in celebrating our amazing school. We should all be exceptionally proud of what the school has achieved and look forward to the next stage of our journey.
